UW-Platteville fell to #19 UW-Stevens Point, 91-70, Saturday afternoon on Bo Ryan Court at Williams Fieldhouse.

Two seniors, Lisa Wubben and Connie Droeszler, were announced before the game for senior day at Williams Fieldhouse. It was Wubben's and Droeszler's final home game as Pioneers.

UW-Stevens Point jumped out to a quick nine point lead in the first half, but the Pioneers hit four three pointers and two lay-ups to take their only lead of the game at 20-19 about nine minutes in. The Pointers came back on an 18-3 run for a lead of 37-25.

The margin was 19 at the half, Pointers up 47-28.

Lisa Grantman had 11 points in the first half, shooting 75% beyond the arc.

The Pioneers came as close as 11 in the second half with ten minutes to play off a jumper by Grantman. Ashley Wolf came off the bench strong for the Pioneers taking the ball to the hoop and causing the Pointers to foul.

The Pioneers were only outscored by two in the second half, but this wasn't enough as the Pointers kept the lead until the end.

The Pioneers had four score in double digits. Grantman led the Pioneers with 15, Wubben had 13 points and nine rebounds, Angie Vamstad scored 12, and Wolf ended the game with 10 points all in the second half.

Haley Houghton finished with 22 points while teammates Laura Neuenfeldt and Janell Van Gomple scored 13 for UW-Stevens Point.
