Coe College handed visiting UW-Platteville a 76-67 defeat Tuesday night in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Lisa Wubben had 20 points, Charity Stotmeister 11 and Lisa Grantman 10 for the Pioneers, who led by as many as 21-13 in the first half.

The Kohawks took a 37-32 halftime lead and would never relinguish the advantage. UWP cut the deficit to 59-55 on a WUbben jumper, but the undefeated Kohawks scored the next six points and retained the double-digit margin.

Amber Karkosh had 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Sarah Anciaux had 14 points and nine rebounds for 3-0 Coe.

The Pioneers, 1-2 on the young season, play at the Cardinal Stritch tournament Saturday and Sunday. The Pioneers face Davenport (Mich.) at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, instead of the 5:30 p.m. previously announced. Cardinal Stritch faces Temple Baptist in the 5:30 p.m. game.

Coach Tina Kuhle's club makes its home debut Wednesday, Nov. 28, vs Millikin at 7 p.m.
