UW-Platteville center Liz Tesch earned the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week award for the week ending Dec. 17.

The senior from Dorchester (Colby High School) totaled 29 points to lead UW-Platteville to a pair of victories. She scored 18 points, making 8-of-13 from the field, in leading the Pioneers past Trinity International (Ill.), 64-59, on Dec. 16. Tesch also scored 11 points and grabbed five rebounds in a 79-50 victory over Edgewood on Dec. 13. She added two steals, one assist and one blocked shot against the Eagles.

The 7-4 Pioneers play at NCAA Division II Bemidji State on Dec. 28 at 6 p.m. Their next home game is Sat., Jan. 6 vs. UW-Superior at 3 p.m. or 30 minutes after the men's 1 p.m. game ends.
