Former UW-Platteville assistant coaches Greg Gard and Rob Jeter, along with UW-Madison basketball strength and conditioning coach Scott Hettenbach, will speak at a coaches clinic Sunday, Oct. 11 at 10 a.m. on Bo Ryan Court.

Jeter, a former player and assistant for the Pioneers, is the current UW-Milwaukee head coach. He led the Pantehrs to the NCAA I tournament in 2005-06 and a first-round win over Oklahoma.

Gard, the older brother of UWP Pioneer Head Coach Jeff Gard, was named one of the top 25 assistant coaches in the nation by Rivals.com. Gard was a former UW-Platteville and UW-MIlwaukee assistant and is now Bo Ryan's associate head coach at Wisconsin. Gard recently was named one of the top 25 assistants in the nation by Rivals.com. He and Hettenbach, who has been at UW for 15 seasons, have helped the Badgers to three Big Ten regular season titles and two conference tournament championships. Under Coach Ryan, who led the Pioneers to four NCAA III national championships, the Badgers have been to eight NCAA I tournament appearances, advancing to the Sweet 16 in in 2003 and 2008 as well as the Elite Eight in 2005.

The cost is $75 per coach in advance or $85 at the door. Each additional staff member is $15. Current UWP students may attend for $20.
