Cedarburg's B.J. Litz will attend UW-Platteville and play basketball for the Pioneers, UWP Coach Paul Combs announced.
Litz, a 5-10 guard, was a two-year starter at the point, earning all-conference honors as a senior. He ranked 10th in the conference in scoring at 11.4 ppg and led Cedarburg in assists (4) and steals (2) per game. Litz also earned all-conference honors in baseball and football. The son of Terry and Kari Litz, he plans to major in building construction management.
He will join a Pioneer team coming off a 19-7 record and second place in the tough Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with a 12-4 mark. The Pioneers, with only one senior on the squad, were ranked 23rd nationally by D3hoops.com. UWP plays its home games on the Bo Ryan Court, named after the coach who led the Pioneers to NCAA Division III national championships in 1991, 1995, 1998 and 1999 and who just led the Wisconsin Badgers to the Big Ten championship.
