| Jeff Skemp made his 106th start Wednesday |
UW-Platteville all-American center Jeff Skemp has now started more games than anyone in Pioneer basketball history.
The senior from Hazel Green (Southwestern High School) started for the 106th time Wednesday in the Pioneers' 77-63 victory over UW-La Crosse. That marks the second career record he holds, as he is the all-time leader in blocked shots with 113. With 1,326 career points, Skemp also moved into 10th place on the Pioneer scoring charts Wednesday.
The Pioneers are 19-2 and ranked fourth in the country. They are seeking to become the first 20-win team since 1998-99. Coach Paul Combs, who has now led the Pioneers to 19 victories in three of his six seasons, is 99-52 in six years at UWP.
