Jeff Skemp earned first team honors

UW-Platteville's Jeff Skemp earned first team all-West Region basketball honors by D3hoops.com.

Skemp led the Pioneers in scoring (15.2 points per game) and rebounding (8.3 ppg) while setting a new UWP field-goal percentage mark by making 64.7 percent of his shots. Skemp ranked third nationally in field-goal percentage and helped UW-Platteville finish third nationally as a team at 51.5 percent.

Skemp previously earned first-team all-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors. He led the Pioneers to a 19-7 overall record, including 12-4 and second place in the WIAC. The Pioneers, with only one senior on the squad, were ranked 23rd nationally by D3hoops.com.
