Curt Hanson ranked second in NCAA III

UW-Platteville sophomore guard Curt Hanson ranked second in the country in three-point shooting, according to the NCAA III statistics.

Hanson, from Deerfield, Ill., connected on 72 of 145 three-point shots, good for 49.7 percent. He trailed only Marietta's Nathan Edick, who made 54.8 percent of his three-point attempts.

Hanson, who averaged 15.1 points per game, helped UWP rank second nationally as a team in three-point shooting at 44.0 percent. Wooster made 44.4 of its shots.

Hanson was a first-team all-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection after helping the Pioneers to a 19-7 record, including 12-4 and second place in the WIAC. UWP returns its top 10 players from this year's squad, which ranked 23rd in the D3hoops.com poll.
