
STERLING, Va. -- UW-Platteville made its debut in the D3hoops.com poll, ranking 22nd this week.
The Pioneers are 13-4 overall and tied atop the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference standings with a 7-2 record, the same as #8 UW-Whitewater and #20 UW-Oshkosh. UW-Stevens Point, ranked 12th, is one game behind at 6-3.
UW-Platteville plays host to UW-Oshkosh Wednesday at 7 p.m. It's the Pioneers' sixth game already against a ranked foe. UWP won at Oshkosh and Whitewater and lost to number one Wash U. by 11 points, Stevens Point by three and NAIA #10 Point Loma Nazarene by two. Wednesday's game is the first against a ranked team that will be contested on Bo Ryan Court, where the Pioneers are 7-0 this season.
Washington U. returned to the top spot for the first time since this year's preseason poll, after defeating then-No. 2 Brandeis on the road Sunday afternoon. No. 1 Rochester dropped two spots after losing at Emory on Friday night.
