UW-Platteville and UW-Whitewater meet Wednesday on Kendall Murray Field at 1 p.m. in a rematch of one of the most remarkable baseball series in WIAC history.
Last year the teams combined for for 94 runs on 108 hits, 42 walks and 22 errors. The Warhawks won two games, the Pioneers won a 19-12 contest, and the two schools recorded the first tie in WIAC history, 6-6, when rains ended the slugfests.
The Pioneers are 11-9 overall and 5-3 in the WIAC, while the Warhawks bring in records of 11-4, 2-2.
Ticket prices are $6 for adults, $4 for seniors (62 and older) and $3 for children (17 and under). The first game will also be broadcast on the ESPN Doubleteam, 1280/1590 AM.
