Brad Frank hit a tie-breaking two-run home run in the eighth inning, propelling UW-Stevens Point to a 6-3 victory over visiting UW-Platteville Sunday afternoon.

The Pointers completed the sweep with a 13-0 seven-inning win in the nightcap.

Eric Fritz led off the eighth with a walk, then scored on Frank's home run. Jared Surman added an RBI single later in the inning for the Pointers.

The Pioneers tied the score in the seventh when Nick Aplin drew a walk and eventually scored on Brett Benesh's single to center.

Doug Coe and Surman also homered for the Pointers. Lee Hawkins had a pair of hits for the Pioneers.

Justin Bushong drove in five runs, and Brandon Scheidler hit a home run in the nightcap for the Pointers, who built a 13-0 lead in the third.

The Pointers improved to 17-8 overall and 9-3 in the WIAC, while the Pioneers slipped to 12-14, 5-7. The same two teams meet again Monday in a makeup of Saturday's rainout.
