| Ross Bennett repeated all-region honors |
UW-Platteville's Ross Bennett earned his second straight American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Midwest Region honors.
The junior first baseman from Mequon Homestead earned second team honors in a region that contains all NCAA Division III schools in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, and Minnesota. He was a second-team selection in 2006 as well.
Bennett hit .357 with 13 doubles, 3 triples, 9 home runs and 37 RBIs in 2007. He is already UW-Platteville's career leader in hits (149), home runs (23), RBIs (112) and total bases (265).
The Pioneer slugger is a two-time first team all-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference pick and was a 2007 preseason all-American by D3baseball.com.
