The new field will be dedicated Sunday

The UW-Platteville weekend baseball series with UW-Stevens Point has been pushed back a day because of Saturday's soggy forecast.

With the chance of rain 80 percent tomorrow, UW-Stevens Point will not make the trip tonight, as planned. Instead, the Pointers will travel Saturday night to play doubleheaders both Sunday and Monday, beginning at noon.

The Kendall Murray Field dedication will take place Sunday before the first game. Pat and Nancy Murray will throw out the first pitch in honor of their son, the Pioneers' all-time strikeout leader who died just weeks after his senior season in 1975.
