| Rachel Chapman earned first team honors |
Rachel Chapman earned first team all-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference volleyball honors; Lisa Bell and Melissa Hillebrand earned honorable mention; and Lisa Schumacher earned all-sportsmanship honors for UW-Platteville in 2008.
Chapman, a senior outside hitter from Endeavor (Portage High School) became the school's second all-time leader in kills with 1,557 in her four years as a Pioneer. Chapman is also the fifth all-time leader with 1,474 digs. As a junior, Chapman earned all-WIAC honorable mention honors.
Bell, a junior hitter from Dyersville, Iowa (Beckman High School) had a season high 19 kills in a win over Wartburg and is now the sixth all-time leader in kills recording 1,144. Bell was also voted to the all-WIAC team and earned honorable mention all-Midwest region in 2007.
Hillebrand, a sophomore hitter from Davenport, Iowa (West), led the Pioneers with 405 kills, becoming just the 11th player in school history to surpass 400 in a single season.
Schumacher, a freshman hitter from Hazel Green (Southwestern) was awarded for her sportsmanship and teamwork for the Pioneers during the 2008 season.
The Pioneers finished 16-18, fifth in the WIAC and also gave coach Deb Schulman her 500th win.
