Jessica Scott qualified for the NCAA III national championships, and Alison Glendenning won the 400-meter hurdles, highlighting UW-Platteville's efforts at the Augustana Women's Invitational Friday night.

Scott won the 800-meter dash in 2:10.14, well below the 2:10.4 needed to automatically make the national championships. She won the race by seven seconds.

Glendenning captured the 400-meter hurdles in 1:04.79, which would be a new school record if she hadn't broken it the week before with a 1:04.3. Teammate Sara Novotny was second in the event with a 1:05.26 time.

The Pioneers finished fifth with 121 points. The host Vikings won the meet with 222.5.

Besides Novotny, Pioneers placing second were Alli Tank in the 10,000-meter run in 39.43.02.

Finishing third were Gabrielle Ethier in the 100-meter hurdles in 16:25, Liz Baker in the 400 dash in 59.25, and Sadie Sime in the high jump at 4-11.75.

The Pioneer men compete at Augustana Saturday.
