The UW-Platteville women's 4x400-meter relay team earned the final Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference track athletes of the week award after the squad's performance at the Loras Open.

Liz Baker (Jr., Richland Center), Alison Glendenning (Sr., Germantown, Ill./Forreston), Ann Tank (Fr., Dodgeville), and Jessica Scott (Sr, Kiel) placed first in with a time of 3:54.31 at Loras on April 25. Their performance provisionally qualified them for the NCAA Division III Championship and is the second-best time in the country this year. That same foursome placed sixth in the NCAA III indoor national championships in March.

The Pioneers will compete in the WIAC conference championships at UW-Oshkosh Friday and Saturday. Coach Jim Nickasch's men are ranked 13th in the country, and the women are ranked 25th.
