Behind individual champions Liz Baker and Ashleigh Waltz, the UW-Platteville women's track and field team placed fourth at the Augustana Meet of Champions Friday in Rock Island, Ill.
The host Vikings won the meet with 258.5 points, followed by Northern Illinois with 225, Luther 208, UWP 128, and St. Ambrose 96.5.
Baker won the 200-meter dash in 26:58, giving her a victory for the second straight week. Waltz won the pole vault in 10-3.25, winning with the fewest attempts at that height.
Alison Ross added a second-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:05.31 for the Pioneers, who compete at the UW-Oshkosh Invitational next Saturday.
