| Tera Burr is all-WIAC, four times over |
UW-Platteville's Tera Burr earned her fourth consecutive all-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference first team softball honors and also shared the WIAC Judy Kruckman Scholar-Athlete Award.
The Pioneers' Kristin Nelson was named to the all-sportsmanship team.
Burr, a senior second baseman from Shawano, hit .462 overall and raised her career batting average to .446, the best in WIAC history. Burr became just the 11th player in league history to reach 200 career hits, as she finished her career with 202. Of the seven career statistics UW-Platteville tracks, Burr is atop six of them. Besides ranking first in career batting average and hits, she is first in runs (129), doubles (35), triples (14), and home runs (24).
She is majoring in civil engineering with a minor in Spanish and boasts a 3.75 grade point average. She was named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Five College Division Women’s Softball Second Team last year and is a three-time member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll. Burr has been recognized on UW-Platteville’s Dean’s List and Honor Roll every semester and has received numerous academic scholarships.
Burr is a member of the Tau Beta Pi Honor Society and the American Society of Civil Engineers. She has volunteered at a Food Pantry, Respite Suppers, Special Olympics and Highway Cleanup.
