UWP Softball
All-Region selection Tera Burr
May 6, 2009

UW-Platteville's Tera Burr earned all-region honors for both her on-field play and her in-classroom work.

Burr earned first team CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 5 honors and second team Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III All-Great Lakes Region accolades.

The senior from Shawano repeated her honors from last year, although she moved up to the first team for the academic regional award. Burr is now eligible for Academic All-America consideration. This is her third all-region selection by the coaches association.

The second baseman is the best hitter not only in UW-Platteville's history, but also the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Her .446 career batting average is number one in both record books. Burr also holds the top three single-season batting averages in Pioneer history as well as five other UWP career records.

She is majoring in civil engineering with a minor in Spanish and holds a 3.75 grade point average.
