UW-Platteville's Jason Garvens earned his second Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference cross country runner of the week award.
Garvens, a junior from Byron, Minn., won the individual title and led UW-Platteville to second place out of 13 teams at 11th annual Dan Huston Invitational at Wartburg College (Iowa) on Oct. 10. He completed the 8,000 meters in 25:49, winning by 11 seconds.
He also earned the WIAC award after winning the UW-Whitewater Warhawk Invitational on Sept. 19.
The Pioneers, ranked 9th in the national NCAA III poll, compete at UW-La Crosse Saturday along with the UWP women.
