UW-Platteville's Jessica Scott earned the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference cross country runner of the week award for her performance Saturday.

Scott, a senior from Kiel, raced to third place overall and second among collegiate runners in a time of 22:16 over 6,000-meters at the Don Huston Invitational Oct. 11 in Waverly, Iowa. A total of 169 individuals and 13 teams competed in the race.

She and her Pioneer teammates will compete in La Crosse Saturday in the final tuneup before the WIAC championships Nov. 1 at UW-Stevens Point.
