Colorful China

A Striking exhibit of photos showcasing China's 56 diverse ethnic communities.

Contemporary Surrealism

Painting, sculpture, and installations of contemporary surrealist works by artists from Platteville to Chicago. Part of the joint celebration of the avant garde during the month of November in conjunction with the UW-Platteville Theater Department and including expressionist film screenings.

On view: October 25 - December 3, 2010. Opening Reception: Tuesday, October 26.

Exposed

An exhibit of student work based on the Photography III class COMMNCTN 4500. Each project represents a student's unique approach to the application of his or her understanding of visual literacy. This is a semester long exploration of topics including evaluation, theory, description and interpretation in the medium of digital photography.

Leslee Nelson: Memory Cloths

Leslee Nelson's Memory Cloths are textile interpretations of her revelations and spiritual discoveries, inspired by South African Memory Cloths. Ms. Nelson has transformed memories from her own life into images she embroiders on vintage textiles, in keeping with her motto, Making the wondrous real.

ArtsBuild Annual 2011

A juried exhibition of the artworks of Artsbuild program participants, this edition includes 60 pieces from 22 artists. Media include photography, watercolor, ink, fiber, oil, wax and lots of mixed materials.

UW-Platteville Faculty

A biennial exhibit of works created by UW-Platteville faculty in the Art Department and the Communication Technologies Department.
