Heartland Festival Final Weekend
PLATTEVILLE: The 2009 Heartland Festival closes on Sunday August 9. Final performances include The Producers, Forever Plaid, And The Killer Is…, and You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown.
“Audiences have been extremely enthusiastic,” according to John Hassig, Executive Director for the Heartland Festival. “I’ve been getting lots of phone calls, emails and have been stopped on the street by well wishers. People are absolutely thrilled with all the shows in this season. In fact, a few people have declared our production of The Producers as good as some of the national Broadway tours we have had in the CFA during the Performing Arts Series.”
“I’m very proud of the season we have this year. Each show has its own challenges, but we have an extremely talented group of people assembled here and it will be sad when the season ends. Our ninth season has certainly been an artistic success and I hope people don’t let these shows slip by without seeing them,” Hassig added.
