MIA is the story of eighteen year old Billy, who enlisted in the military in
1967. Through his letters, sent from Vietnam, we can only hope to achieve a
better appreciation for those who made the supreme sacrifice for all of us.
When we remember the fun times of the sixties (Flower-Power, the Beatles,
Hippies, etc.) we must also remember that, War… was also a product of the
sixties. M.I.A. is in memory of all those M.I.A. s and K.I.A.s of the Vietnam
War and especially William Arthur Beyer, Panel 14E-Line 102 on the Vietnam Memorial Wall.
