
Grammy Award winning choral group Chanticleer returns to Platteville to perform an unforgettable Christmas concert. Based out of San Francisco Chanticleer has developed a reputation for their vivid interpretations of vocal literature, ranging from classical music to jazz. The group is formed from twelve male voices ranging from countertenor to bass. This arrangement has earned Chanticleer the title "Orchestra of Voices". Formed in 1978 by tenor and former artistic director Louis Botto the group took its name from the "Clear-singing" rooster in Geoffrey Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. Chanticleer's Christmas program is pure holiday gold!
