The Vagina Monologues
The Women's Council will host a showing of The Vagina Monologues on Thursday, April 24 and Friday, April 25 at 7 p.m. in 136 Doudna.
Admission at the door will be $3 for UW-Platteville students and $5 for general admission.
This is a benefit production of The Vagina Monologues to be performed by UW-Platteville students, staff, faculty, and community members. Each of the monologues deals with an aspect of the feminine experience, including love, birth, and simply as a physical aspect of the body.
Proceeds of admission will be donated to Family Advocates, a nonprofit organization providing services for victims of sexual assault and family/partner abuse. To date, the V-Day movement has raised over $100 million to benefit the issue of violence against women and the efforts to end it.
