Dr. Charles R. Steiner is an Assistant Professor of Agribusiness at UW-Platteville. He serves as advisor for the Agribusiness club, Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity and undergraduates majoring in Agribusiness. His teaching responsibilities include: Introduction to Agribusiness; Agricultural Consulting and Sales; Farm Management and Record Systems; and the capstone Agribusiness Management course.

His research interests include experiential education, agricultural entrepreneurship, and the scholarship of teaching and learning in agribusiness. He received his B.S. degree in Agricultural Business in 1998 and M.S. degree in Agricultural Industries in 2000 from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville School of Agriculture. He received his Ph.D. in Agricultural Education from Iowa State University in 2004. Prior to arriving at UW-Platteville he was hired as a lecturer and assistant professor at Iowa State University where he conducted research in the area of experiential education and served as the professor in charge of the ISU Ag450 student managed farm for three years.

He is a Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin native whose hobbies include hunting, fishing, and golf. He joined the University of Wisconsin-Platteville faculty in 2007.
