Each year the University Academic Advising Team and the University acknowledge those faculty or staff members who do an excellent job in advising. One advisor in each college is awarded $500, a personal plaque, and a place on the College Outstanding Academic Advisor Award Plaque. The winners are based on nominations from students, colleagues, or they can be self-nominated. The recipients are recognized at the Chancellor's Convocation at the beginning of the school year.
