
The $35 application fee is waived for students transferring from a 2 year UW-System school. All other transfer students, including those from UW-System Universities will be required to pay the $35 application fee.
Students who have earned a cumulative grade point average of 2.00 or higher and are in good standing at the university attended or attending are eligible to apply for admission. Transferable credits are usually accepted if the credits are earned at an institution that offers an associate of science or arts degree and is accredited.

Admission to UW-Platteville does not guarantee admission to a specific major or program. Separate requirements exist for a number of majors. See the page on academic resources to locate further information regarding separate requirements for certain majors.
UW-System as well as Illinois Community College transfers who have completed the associate degree in science or arts will be given special consideration and will have met UWP general education requirements.
Transfer students should remember that even though the university general education requirements are considered met, other college or departmental requirements may not have been met. All transfer students should meet with their major advisor or the Transfer Coordinator to discuss the transfer process.
