A Family Tradition

Deciding to attend UW-Platteville was a very easy choice for me. I became familiar with this campus at a very young age. My father, mother and two older sisters have all attended UW-Platteville. Platteville is also fairly close to my hometown of Richland Center, but far enough to allow me to develop some independence.

Advanced and Integrative Pioneer Farm

One of the greatest attractions for me to study at UWP is the strong Agriculture program. Platteville is known throughout the state for the advanced and integrative school farm. I have also been blessed to work with some extraordinary professors in the agriculture department. Dr. Mark Zidon is a professor that has always been there to help me with any questions and concerns. I have also had so many professors in the classroom that have really made an effort to pass on their passion for what they teach, such as Sue Price, Chris Baxter, Rick Bockhop and John Tembei. I honestly can't say enough good things about them; they have made a strong impact on me.

Lovin' Life at the Library

I have been extremely fortunate with my employment on campus. I work at the Instructional Materials Laboratory, the Interlibrary Loan Service, and as a Student supervisor in Karrmann Library. I can honestly say that I love my jobs, largely due to the people that I work with. I have some amazing bosses, who have helped me in so many ways. I really can't ever thank them enough. I also consider them as close friends of mine.

A Chance to Run With the Best

I was also interested in competing in a college level sport. The track and field team here has allowed me to travel, meet new people and experience the sport on a whole new level. I am grateful and I have genuinely enjoyed my time here at UWP.
