It's All About Ag

UW-Platteville has an outstanding agriculture program. The classes are interesting and are taught by motivated professors who are willing to aid in your studies and are very available for questions and extra help. There are many opportunities for professional networking and fun since we have four Greek organizations, honors groups, and numerous clubs for students to participate in.

Independence!

College has been a great learning experience for me. It was the first time in my life I was presented with "unknown variables" and had to work through those and learn independence and problem solving. Entering college as a freshman was eased by the wonderful staff, campus environment, and friendly student body. These factors helped make that initial adjustment easier but allowed me also at the same time to reach my potential in several areas of my life.

Working in Wilgus

My freshman year I was employed at the P.A.C. (Pioneer Activity Center); that helped me learn a lot about student employment on campus and the opportunities students have. Currently I am a resident assistant in Wilgus Hall and working though student housing. It has been an amazing experience this year and the lessons I have learned are priceless. I also had an internship last summer at Monsanto in the entomology research lab.

Movies, Memories and Main Street

Platteville has a very motivated student body and offers many campus programming options through the resident halls. The town of Platteville itself also provides many activities such as seeing a movie or having dinner on Main Street. There is always an activity happening on campus and I am never bored in the evenings or on weekends. There have been numerous times that I have laughed so hard that I have cried-- moments of achievement and times of challenges. I'll remember all of these moments because they are times when I feel have made a difference in my community, with my friends, and at UW-Platteville.
