The Exponent

I'm at the Exponent office right now, working on the paper. It is SO FUN. I really love it.

I was worried at first about learning all this stuff, and at first it seemed very overwhelming. My assistant knew more than I did because she always hanged around here last semester, since her boyfriend was the Opinions Editor then. But I'm learning and after a couple of weeks I feel like I'm really starting to get things down. It's fantastic. I had to drop a class (Intro to the New Testament -- a disappointment to have to drop it) so that I could be more available on Tuesday nights, and work is being a pain in my butt, wanting me to work weekends, but on the whole it's all very fun. I love layout and I love planning these things and I love the satisfaction of seeing a page and knowing that I played a huge part in designing it. I hope I can continue to do this next year... it's awesome!! You should check out my stories... this week is a great theme on depression and Valentine's Day and weight loss ads. I wonder if I'll get any hate mail. :P
