The UW-Platteville Engineering, Math, and Science Expo is designed to expose
students to careers in these areas through exhibitions of student
projects and open laboratories highlighting current research. High
school and middle school students are the target audience, but
elementary school students are encouraged to attend as well. Please
mark your calendars and begin preparation to attend this event.

2012 Scavenger Hunt
- The Scavenger Hunt consists of a list of questions that can be answered by visting events,
presentation and demonstrations.
- The Scavenger Hunt is suggested as a method of helping students stay focused and make the most
of the EXPO experience. Answers will be posted the Monday following Expo.
- Teachers are encouraged to edit the scavenger hunt questions to cover a desired breadth or depth of topics.
UW-Platteville Participating Departments
Each year at Expo, departments, programs, and organizations
throughout the College of EMS present demonstrations and displays
to highlight the excitement and challenge of engineering,
mathematics, and science. In the past, teachers and students have
found our Expo to be very encouraging, exciting, and informative.
The departments that are participating this year are:

Several student organizations are involved with the contests, demonstrations, and exhibits.
There is no cost for Expo attendance. During recent years, some events have included:

Similar events are being planned for this year. In addition to planned events, laboratories
will be open for students and teachers to experience different types of engineering, mathematics,
and science activities. A few of the contests may require registration and a minimal fee.
