UW-Platteville won all three female relay races, and the Pioneers set many personal bests at the Eastbay/UW-Stevens Point Invitational Saturday.
The Pioneer women took the 4x200 in 1:52.71; the 4x400 in 3:56.08; and the distance medley relay in 11:55.23 to win all three events.
UW-Eau Claire won the women's team title with 183 points, while the Pioneers were third with 88.5 in the six-school meet. The host Pointers won the men's meet with 205 points, and the Pioneers were fifth at 58.
Corey Digman had the top individual finish, taking second in the weight throw at 56-2.75 and third in the shot put in 50-6.
Five other Pioneers placed third, all with season best marks: Liz Baker in 55-meter dash in 7.72; Gabrielle Ethier in the 55 hurdles in 8.92; Lacey Curtis in the 3,000 in 11:02.8; Cassie Schneider in the long jump in 16-8.5; and Josh Melby in the mile run in 4:28.8.
The Pioneers will compete in the Wisconsn Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships Saturday and Sunday at UW-Stout in Menomonie.
