The UW-Platteville men's track team placed third out of 19 teams on Saturday, January 26, at UW-Whitewater.
Corey Digman threw shot put at 49 feet and 8 inches for the Pioneers' lone winner. Digman also placed second in the weight throw, throwing 54 feet 4 inches.
Cameron Klein took second in the mile run with a time of 4:20.15.
Aaron Whalen took second in the 3000 meter run with a time of 8:49.83.
In the 5000 meter run, Nick Fulton ran a 15:13.98 for second place.
Tony Kilburg ran a 1:55.92 in the 800 meter run to place third.
The 4x400 meter relay team took second with a time of 3:24.08.
Cody Helgeson placed second in the high jump with a jump of six feet two inches.
The women of UW-Platteville placed fifth out of 17 teams at UW-Whitewater.
In the mile run, two of UW-Platteville's runners placed. Emma Dreis was second with a time of 5:08.53 and Jessica Scott finished third with a time of 5:14.84.
The 4x400 meter relay team placed third with a time of 4:06.72.
The 4x200 meter relay team also placed third with a time of 4:06.72.
Cassie Schneider jumped 15 feet 6 inches in the long jump to place third.
