H. T. Stradford

    I teach techniques courses in Geography, such as Geographic Information Systems (G.I.S.), Digital Remote Sensing, Computer Cartography using the Computer Lab in Boebel 104. I also have a long-time interest in the Far East, especially Japan, and teach courses in this area. Other courses I have taught in the past: Physical Geography; Advanced Physical Geography; Meteorology; Historical Geography; World Regional Geography; Introduction to Geography; Geographic Research Methods; Geography of North America; Geography of Asia; Cultural Geography; Aerial Photographic Interpretation; Photogrammetry; Digital Remote Sensing. Research interests include social construction of nature and environment in Japanese landscapes; and social and environmental impacts of Japanese investments in the Asia-Pacific region; and problems facing the Japanese rural environments.
